The Author
Raul Mendez is a father, an engineer, and a guy who stays up too late writing about teenagers with impossible powers. He was born in Ukraine, grew up with Cuban and American roots, and has carried a love of big, immersive stories since the first time he got lost in an MMORPG and realized he cared more about the world than the loot.
He lives with his wife Nathaly, who sat beside him through every draft, their two kids, and a dog named Luna who is convinced she runs the household and is probably right.
He writes in the margins of a full life, between engineering work and soccer games and bedtime stories, because the worlds in his head won’t stay quiet and the people in them deserve to be heard.
Mythroot Publishing is the home he built for those stories.
